Salads

Here you will find salad recipes which are all very easy to prepare. There are some native salad which are made from unripe mangoes, ampalaya, papaya, kangkong perfect for your main course or as a side dish. Sweet and Sour Eggplant Salad - a delicious sweet and sour eggplants salad with red wine vinegar as a special ingredient.

Potato and Beet Salad - A delicious combination of potato and beets salad.

Pinoy Apple Salad - a Filipino version of apple salad with fruit cocktail, condensed and evaporated milk and celery.

Fruit Vegetable Salad - a combination of fruits and vegetables salad recipe. A mixture of fruit cocktail, baguio beans, chayote and chicken breast. To vegan, you can omit the chicken and subtitute with vegemeat or tofu.

Filipino Corn and Potato Salad - a nice potato salad with a combination of corn kernels, carrots and onion then dressed with mayonnaise. You can add ham or chicken if you are not a vegetarian.

Sunshine Salad With Honey-Mustard Dressing – a colorful salad made from cucumber,carrots,cabbage poured with honey mustard dressing.

Ampalaya Salad - thinly sliced marinated ampalaya tossed with mayonaise dressing mixture.

Langka Salad - a tropical salad made from boiled unripe jackfruit and tossed with tomatoes and onion and coconut milk as dressing.

Cucumber Salad - thinly sliced cucumber with spices and vinegar.

Bamboo Shoot Salad - shredded bamboo shoots salad with cubed sweet potatoes.

Banana Blossoms Salad with Tokwa – banana blossoms salad tossed with fried tofu or tokwa with vinegar, spices and milk.

Lato Salad - fresh seeweed salad ‘lato” tossed with grated grren mango, tomatoes,onion, vinegar and calamansi juice.

Honeydew Salad - molded honeydew melon balls in lemon flavored gelatin.

Pomelo – Lettuce Salad - a combination of lettuce, pomelo and nuts salad.

Aloha Salad - an appetizing avocado salad with pineapples and toasted flaked coconut.

Wreath Salad - lettuce salad combined with carrots, sweet peas, onion and arranged to from a wreath.

Russian Salad - mixed root crops and legumes tossed with mayonnaise.

Tossed Green Salad - tossed green salad with thousand island dressing.

Molded Vegetable Salad - crispy fresh cabbage and carrots molded in lemon flavored gelatin salad.

Heritage Fruit Salad – a traditional Filipino fruit cocktail with a slight variation of adding mayonnaise in the mixture.

Coleslaw with Mayonnaise - coleslaw tossed with a mixture of vinegar and mayonnaise.

Coleslaw (with Cooked Dressing) - coleslaw poured with cooked dressing composed of vinegar, salad oil, mustard clelery seed and salt plus MSG.

Celery and Green Bean Salad - boiled green beans mixed with mayonnaise, celery, sweet pickles and lettuce.

Buko-Mango Salad - cubed mango meat combined with shredded young coconut.

Fruit Salad - a tropical salad made from pineapple tidbits, oranges, fruit cocktail, marshmallows and blended with egg sauce.

Stuffed Egg Salad Recipe - halved boiled egg with the yolks removed and stuffed with egg yolk mixture.

Papaya-Apple Salad - a combination of diced papaya and apples, fruit cocktail and thick cream.

Party Potato Salad - cubed cooked potatoes combined with cucumber, carrots, dill seed and dairy sour cream.

Pineapple-Banana Salad - combination of bananas and pineapple slices with chiopped peanuts and mayonnaise.

Potato Salad (Pinoy Style) – a rich Filipino style potato salad composed of diced potatoes, cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, calamansi juice and pepper.

Radish-Tomato Salad - made from grated native radish, roasted tomatoes, sugar, onion salt and calamansi juice.

Sweet Potato(Kamote) Salad - made from boiled sweet potatoes or kamote, mayonnaise, celery, pickles, onion, red pepper and salt.

Watermelon Fruit Boat - a creative way to make a salad. Making the watermelon as the bowl and stuffed with fruit cocktal, oranges, honeydew melon, pineapple chucks, strawberries and canteloupe.

Steamed Kangkong With Mango Salsa (w/ picture) - a native modern salad made from diced ripe mangoes, tomatoes,parsley, kangkong and seasoned with vinegar, salt sugar and pepper.

Burong Mustasa with Egg - a fermented mustard salad combined with tomatoes, onion, eggs, garlic and salt.

Eggplant Salad - salad made from roasted eggplant on charcoal combined with onion, coconut cream or “gata”, kalamansi juice and salt.

Ampalaya(Bitter melon) Salad – a bitter melon salad combined with ripe tomatoes, onion and salt.

Medley Salad - salad made from cooked green beans, hard boiled eggs, cheese strips, lettuce, sliced carrots and dressed with mayonnaise.

Pickled Mangoes - “burong mangga” in tagalog. A simple way to preserve the unripe mangoes by soaking in water with salt.

Pineapple-Macaroni Salad - macaroni salad with pineapple tidbits, fruit cocktail, sweet pickle, red pepper, chopped nuts, cheese and dressed with mayonnaise.

Multi-Faceted Salad - a native salad made from heart of palm or “ubod” and combined with waterchesnuts or singkamas, celery, spring onion, pineapple tidbits and dressed with mayonnaise.

Sweet Pickled Salad (w/ picture) - made from blanched sting beans or sitaw and combined with red bell pepper,
red onions, alugnati leaves and dressed with vinegar syrup (see recipe).

Nilasing Na Mangga (w/ picture) – drunken mangoes in english. Green mangoes combined with shallots, sugar,
black pepper and beer.

Rice Salad - a unique salad made from cooked long grain rice with chicken bouillon and combined with salad oil, wine vinegar, dry mustard, salt, pepper, garlic, olives, pimiento, celery and pickles.

Potato Salad with Cilantro Dressing (w/ picture) - another version of potato salad combined with cucumber, green bell pepper, spring onions, red onions and tomatoes.
