Gluten Afritada


1/2 kilo gluten, cut into cubes
2 cups rice water
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
2 medium-sized potatoes
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 kilo vege-choplets
1/2 cup onions, sliced
1 large sweet pepper
1 cup tomatoes, sliced
Salt to taste

How to cook gluten afritada:

  • Fry gluten cubes till brown; set aside. Sauté garlic in oil until brown.
  • Add onions and tomatoes until tender. Add gluten and water.
  • Let simmer for 5 minutes. Add potatoes and cook until done.
  • Add vege-choplets and sweet pepper. Season and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
